Bharat ratna singer Lata Mangeshkar demise at the age of 92 on Sunday, 6 February. She was admitted to Mumbai Breach Candy Hospital.
Dr Pratit Samdani, who was treating Mangeshkar, had told to The Quint, “Lata Mangeshkar was diagnosed with COVID pneumonia and was admitted in the ICU.”
The Indian Express had wrote about Saturday (5 February) that Lata Mangeshkar’s wellbeing weakened and she was in basic condition. Dr Samdani had said that she was going through forceful treatment and was reacting to the techniques.
Her sister, Asha Bhosle had visited Lata Mangeshkar at the emergency clinic on Saturday. ANI cited Bhosle saying, “The specialist has said that she is steady at this point.”
Lata Mangeshkar was brought into the world in 1929 in Indore. Her dad, Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar, was an old style artist and theater entertainer. Mangeshkar had recorded songs in more than 1,000 Hindi movies. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award was presented to her in 1989. In 2001, she was granted the Bharat Ratna. France respected her with its most elevated regular citizen grant, the Officer of the Legion of Honor, in 2007.
